Burger Assembly

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the Edward's bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

In the same skillet, cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of aged cheddar on each patty to melt.

  4. 4

    Fry the Eggs

In another pan, fry the eggs sunny side up until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny.

  5. 5

    Sauté the Collard Greens

In the same pan as the bacon, add the collard greens and sauté until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, place the beef patty with melted cheddar, followed by the crispy bacon, sautéed collard greens, and a sunny-side-up egg. Drizzle Bordelaise sauce on top and close with the other half of the bun.
