Brisket and Mac & Cheese Ingredients

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

Rub the brisket with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Smoke the Brisket

Smoke the brisket at 225°F (107°C) for approximately 12 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 190°F (88°C). Wrap in foil and let it rest for 1 hour before slicing.

  3. 3

    Cook the Macaroni

Boil macaroni pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  4. 4

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted.

  5. 5

    Combine Pasta and Cheese Sauce

Mix the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce until well combined. Transfer to a baking dish.

  6. 6

    Add Brisket

Layer the sliced smoked brisket over the mac and cheese.

  7. 7

    Top with Cheese and Breadcrumbs

Sprinkle additional cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs on top.

  8. 8

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.

  9. 9

    Serve

Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your Brisket Mac!
