Method
Preparing the Glass
Sugar rim
Place the 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar on a small plate and spread into an even layer. Run the fresh lemon wedge around the lip of a chilled martini or coupe glass to moisten it, then dip and twist the rim into the sugar so it adheres evenly. Set the glass aside to let the sugar set while you mix the cocktail.
Mixing the Cocktail
Combine ingredients
Add 2 oz citron vodka, 1 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, and 0.5 oz triple sec into a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with about 1 cup of ice (enough to chill well). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker is very cold and frost forms on the outside.
Double strain into glass
If you have a fine mesh strainer, double-strain the cocktail into the prepared sugar-rimmed martini/coupe glass to remove small ice shards and any pulp from the lemon juice. If not, a single strain is acceptable.
Float Chambord
Carefully pour 0.25 oz Chambord over the back of a bar spoon held just above the surface of the cocktail so the raspberry liqueur gently floats as a thin layer or forms a soft swirl. This gives a visual and flavor accent without overpowering the drink.
Garnish & Serve
Optionally thread 2 fresh raspberries on a small cocktail pick and rest across the rim, or express a lemon twist over the drink and drop it in. Serve immediately while cold.
