Steak Marinade

Taco Assembly

Method

Steak Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Add Steak to Marinade

Place the steak in the marinade, ensuring it is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for better flavor.

Grilling and Taco Assembly

  1. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  2. 4

    Rest and Slice the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.

  3. 5

    Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until pliable.

  4. 6

    Assemble the Tacos

Place a portion of the sliced steak in the center of each tortilla. Top with chopped cilantro, diced onion, and a drizzle of salsa or hot sauce. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
