Prepare the Fruit
Wash all the fruits thoroughly. Slice the oranges, lemons, and limes into thin rounds. Core and dice the apple. If using strawberries or raspberries, wash them and slice the strawberries if large.

Combine the Ingredients
In a large pitcher, add the sliced oranges, lemons, limes, diced apple, and berries. Pour in the red wine and orange juice over the fruit.

Stir in the granulated sugar until dissolved. If desired, add brandy for an extra kick.
Chilling & Serving

Chill the Sangria
Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve the Sangria
Just before serving, add the sparkling water or soda and stir gently. Serve in glasses filled with ice. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and a slice of fruit if desired.
