Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt 1 stick of unsalted butter. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley and 1 teaspoon of salt. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel 4 russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries. Rinse the fries in cold water to remove excess starch and pat them dry with paper towels.
Cooking the Fries
- 3
Fry the Potatoes
In a heavy-bottomed pot, heat 4 cups of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the fries in batches, frying for about 5-6 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of salt.
Cooking the Steak
- 4
Season the Steak
While the fries are frying, season 2 ribeye steaks generously with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper on both sides.
