Gather all the ingredients and prepare them as follows: drain and rinse black beans, chop the tomatoes and green onions, and slice the jalapeños.

On a large serving platter, spread a layer of tortilla chips.

Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the chips, then evenly distribute the black beans on top.

Add another layer of tortilla chips, followed by the remaining cheddar cheese, and any other desired toppings such as jalapeños or tomatoes.

Place the assembled nachos in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and top with sour cream, guacamole, chopped green onions, and cilantro. Serve immediately.
