Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Duck

Score the skin of the duck breasts in a crisscross pattern and place them in a zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the duck, seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  3. 3

    Sear the Duck

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the duck from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later. Place the duck breasts skin-side down in the skillet and sear for about 6-7 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare doneness.

  4. 4

    Cook the Vegetables

In another pan, sauté the seasonal vegetables in a bit of olive oil over medium heat until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Glaze and Serve

Remove the duck from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. In the same skillet, add the reserved marinade and bring to a boil to reduce slightly. Slice the duck and plate it with the sautéed vegetables, drizzling the balsamic glaze and reduced marinade over the top.
