Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Rinse the Roma tomatoes, jalapeño pepper, and cilantro under cold water. Core and chop the Roma tomatoes into small pieces. Finely chop the red onion and jalapeño pepper (remove seeds for less heat). Mince the garlic cloves.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño pepper, minced garlic, and chopped cilantro.

Seasoning and Mixing

  1. 3

    Add Seasonings

Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, and cumin over the vegetable mixture. Add the lime juice.

  2. 4

    Mix Well

Using a spatula or spoon, gently mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Serving

  1. 5

    Chill and Serve

Cover the salsa with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve with tortilla chips or use as a topping for tacos or grilled meats.
