Prepare the Bread
Cut the French bread into small cubes and let them sit out overnight to dry out, or toast them in the oven at 250°F for about 30 minutes.

Sauté the Vegetables
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and celery, and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are soft. Add minced garlic and sauté for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
Mixing

Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the dried bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Add Liquid
In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth and eggs. Pour this mixture over the bread and vegetable mixture, and stir until all the bread is well coated.
Baking

Transfer to Baking Dish
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the stuffing mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Bake the Stuffing
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown and crispy.
