Method

Fries Preparation

  1. 1

    Bake the Fries

Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Spread the frozen French fries evenly on a baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over the fries and sprinkle with salt. Toss to combine.

  2. 2

    Cook the Fries

Bake the fries in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning halfway through for even cooking.

Pastrami Topping

  1. 3

    Heat Pastrami

While the fries are baking, slice the hot pastrami into thin strips and heat it in a skillet over medium heat until warmed through, about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Melt the Cheese

Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven. Layer the warm pastrami on top of the fries and place Swiss cheese slices over the pastrami. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Coleslaw Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Coleslaw

In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded green cabbage and carrot. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot and toss to coat evenly.

Russian Dressing Preparation

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Combine and Serve

Once the fries are out of the oven and the cheese is melted, top with the prepared coleslaw. Drizzle the zesty Russian dressing on top. Serve immediately and enjoy your capastrami fries!
