Preparation of Coleslaw

Prepare the Coleslaw
In a mixing bowl, combine the coleslaw mix with the coleslaw dressing. Toss well until the mixture is evenly coated. Set aside.
Sandwich Assembly

Assemble the Sandwich
Lay out two slices of rye bread on a clean surface. On each slice, layer 4 oz of hot pastrami followed by 2 slices of Swiss cheese. Then, add a generous scoop of the prepared coleslaw on top.

Add the Dressing
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of Russian dressing over the coleslaw on each sandwich.

Top the Sandwich
Place the remaining slices of rye bread on top of each sandwich.

Grill the Sandwich
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the unsalted butter. Once melted, place the sandwiches in the skillet. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool for a minute. Cut each sandwich in half and serve with extra Russian dressing on the side if desired.
