Method
Preparing the Coleslaw
- 1
Mixing the Coleslaw Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded green cabbage and carrot.
- 2
In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- 3
Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture, and toss until everything is evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Preparing the Russian Dressing
- 4
Making the Russian Dressing
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, prepared horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika.
- 5
Mix thoroughly until well combined and refrigerate until ready to use.
Cooking the Wagyu Beef
- 6
Cooking the Patties
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the American Wagyu beef patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- 7
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of provolone cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
Assembling the Sub
- 8
Layering the Sub
Slice the sub rolls in half and toast them lightly if desired.
- 9
Spread a generous amount of Russian dressing on the bottom half of each sub roll.
- 10
Place the cooked Wagyu beef patties with melted provolone on top of the dressing.
- 11
Top the beef patties with a good amount of coleslaw.
- 12
Spread some mayonnaise on the top half of the rolls and place them on top to finish the sub.
