Turkey and Toppings

Method

Preparing Chipotle Mayo

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced chipotle peppers, lime juice, garlic powder, and salt. Stir until fully blended and adjust salt to taste.

  2. 2

    Refrigerate

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the chipotle mayo for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 3

    Toast the Bread

Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the sourdough slices on the skillet and toast until golden brown on both sides.

  2. 4

    Layer Ingredients

On the bottom slice of toasted sourdough, spread a generous layer of chipotle mayo. Layer on the smoked Michigan turkey, followed by Swiss cheese, crumbled smoked bacon, fresh lettuce, and slices of tomato.

  3. 5

    Complete the Sandwich

Top with the second slice of toasted sourdough and press down gently to hold the sandwich together.

Serving

  1. 6

    Slice and Serve

Cut the sandwich in half diagonally and serve immediately while warm. Enjoy your Smoked Michigan Turkey sandwich!
