Cookie Dough

Vanilla Drizzle

Method

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking.

  2. 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. 3

In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

Add the large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.

  5. 5

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

  6. 6

Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

  7. 7

Grease a cast iron skillet lightly and transfer the cookie dough into the skillet, spreading it out evenly.

Baking

  1. 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the center is still soft.

  2. 9

    Cool Slightly

Remove from the oven and allow the cookie to cool in the skillet for about 10 minutes before drizzling.

Vanilla Drizzle Preparation

  1. 10

    Make the Drizzle

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and pourable.

  2. 11

Once the cookie has cooled slightly, drizzle the vanilla mixture over the top of the warm cookie.
