Method

Preparing the Salad

  1. 1

    Chop the Greens

Rinse and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Halve the cherry tomatoes, slice the cucumber into thin rounds, and finely chop the red onion. Add all vegetables to the bowl with the lettuce.

Cooking the Bacon

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Once cooled, chop into small pieces.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 4

    Add the Toppings

Sprinkle the chopped bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and cheesy garlic croutons over the prepared salad.

Making the Dressing

  1. 5

    Prepare the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Salad

Drizzle the dressing over the salad just before serving. Toss gently to combine and serve immediately.
