Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, beer, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms. Flip the patties.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese and Bacon

Immediately place a slice of aged cheddar cheese on each patty and add the bacon slices. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

Spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on the bottom half of each bun. Add the lettuce, cooked patty with bacon and cheese, a slice of tomato, pickles, and cover with the top half of the bun.
