Prepare the Burger Patty

Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, beer, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Add Cheese and Bacon
Immediately place a slice of aged cheddar cheese on each patty and add the bacon slices. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
