Ice Cream Scoop
Serving & Toppings (optional)
Tools
Method
Ice Cream Scoop
- 1
Prepare ice cream
If ice cream is very hard, let it sit at room temperature for 3–5 minutes to soften slightly. Do not let it melt — you want scoopable, creamy texture.
- 2
Scoop
Use an ice cream scoop or large spoon. For an EXTRA scoop, place one generous rounded scoop in your waffle cone or dessert bowl. If offering a second flavor, add a second scoop directly on top or beside the first.
Serving & Toppings
- 3
Sauce base
If using hot fudge or caramel, warm the sauce briefly (10–15 seconds) in a microwave-safe ramekin so it pours easily. Drizzle about 2 tablespoons of hot fudge or 1 tablespoon of caramel over the scoop.
- 4
Add crunchy & colorful toppings
Sprinkle chopped nuts (about 1 tablespoon) and sprinkles (about 1 teaspoon) evenly over the sauced scoop.
- 5
Finish
Top with 2 tablespoons whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. If using salted caramel, sprinkle a tiny pinch (about 1/8 tsp) of sea salt over the caramel for contrast.
Tools & Serving
- 6
Serve immediately on a small plate to catch drips, or hand the cone to your guest. If preparing multiple scoops or serving later, keep scoops on a chilled tray and assemble toppings just before serving to preserve texture.
