Vanilla Ice Cream Scoop
Serving & Garnish (optional)
Tools
Method
Prepare Base (if using)
- 1
Warm base
If serving over a brownie or waffle, warm the base briefly: microwave the brownie/waffle for 8–12 seconds until just warm (do not overheat) or heat a pre-cooked waffle in a 300°F/150°C oven for 3–4 minutes. Place the warm base in the center of the serving dish.
Scoop Ice Cream
- 2
Use a chilled metal or plastic ice cream scoop (dip in warm water and shake off excess for cleaner scoops). Place one scoop of vanilla ice cream onto the base or directly into the serving bowl.
- 3
Immediately add the extra scoop of ice cream (same or different flavor) next to or on top of the first scoop, creating a generous double-scoop serving.
Add Sauces & Garnish
- 4
Warm the hot fudge or chocolate sauce: microwave 10–15 seconds in a microwave-safe cup or heat gently in a small saucepan until pourable. Drizzle about 2 tablespoons over the scoops.
- 5
Drizzle about 1 tablespoon caramel sauce over the scoops for contrast, if using.
- 6
Add 2 tablespoons whipped cream to one side of the scoops for height and creaminess.
- 7
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon chopped nuts over the top for texture, if desired, and finish with a maraschino cherry on top.
Serve
- 8
Serve immediately with a spoon. If preparing ahead for service, keep scoops in the freezer and assemble only when ready to serve to preserve texture.
