Single-Serve Protein Shake (1 Scoop)

Method

Single-Serve Protein Shake (1 Scoop)

  1. 1

    Prepare

Gather a shaker bottle or blender, measure the single scoop of protein powder and the liquids. If using banana, peanut butter, or other add-ins, have them ready.

  2. 2

    Add liquids first

Pour 8 fl oz cold water and 2 fl oz almond milk (or milk of choice) into the shaker or blender. Adding liquids first helps prevent powder clumping.

  3. 3

    Add ice and add-ins

Add 4 ice cubes to the container. If using half a banana, 1 tablespoon peanut butter, 1 teaspoon honey/maple syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, or a pinch of sea salt, add them now.

  4. 4

    Add protein powder

Spoon in 1 scoop of protein powder on top of the liquids and ice.

  5. 5

    Mix thoroughly

If using a shaker bottle: secure the lid and shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds until powder is fully dissolved and the shake is smooth. If using a blender: blend on medium-high for 20–40 seconds until smooth and frothy.

  6. 6

    Check texture and sweetness

Taste and check consistency. If too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 ml) additional water or milk and stir or re-shake. If not sweet enough, add another 1/2 teaspoon honey or maple syrup and mix again.

  7. 7

    Serve

Pour into a glass if blended, or drink directly from the shaker. Consume immediately for best texture and flavor.

  8. 8

    Storage note

If not consumed immediately, store in a sealed container in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours. Re-shake or stir before drinking; separation may occur.
