For Cooking

Method

Preparation of Dry Ingredients

  1. 1

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Preparation of Wet Ingredients

  1. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully blended.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 3

    Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy; do not overmix.

Cooking Pancakes

  1. 4

    Heat the Pan

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add butter or oil to grease the pan.

  2. 5

    Cook the Pancakes

Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

  3. 6

    Repeat Cooking

Continue the process, adding more butter or oil to the skillet as needed, until all the batter is used.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve Hot

Stack the pancakes on a plate and serve warm with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
