Method

Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Form the mixture into four equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove from heat and let rest.

Beer Cheese Sauce

  1. 3

    Make the Beer Cheese

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the cream cheese and beer. Stir until the cream cheese is fully melted and incorporated. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and hot sauce. Stir continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Keep warm.

Fried Green Tomatoes

  1. 4

    Prepare the Tomatoes

Dip each slice of green tomato into buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then coat in cornmeal mixed with salt.

  2. 5

    Fry the Tomatoes

In a deep skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the coated tomato slices in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Burger Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Burgers

On each toasted bun, place a patty, top with a generous amount of beer cheese sauce, two slices of bacon, a fried green tomato, and a piece of lettuce. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
