Preparation of Ingredients
- 1
Cook Chorizo
In a skillet over medium heat, crumble the chorizo sausage and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess grease if necessary.
- 2
Grill Chicken
Season the chicken breast with salt and black pepper. Grill on medium heat for about 6-7 minutes per side or until fully cooked. Let rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.
- 3
Prepare Avocado
Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Slice into thin pieces.
- 4
Shred Cheese
Grate the cheddar jack cheese using a cheese grater and set aside.
Assembling the Burrito
- 5
Warm Tortilla
Heat the large flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for about 30 seconds until warm and pliable.
- 6
Layer Ingredients
On each warmed tortilla, layer half of the cooked chorizo, grilled chicken strips, sliced avocado, and shredded cheddar jack cheese.
- 7
Drizzle Sauce
Drizzle the Santa Cruz sauce over the layered ingredients on each tortilla.
- 8
Wrap the Burrito
Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top to enclose the filling.
Serving
- 9
Serve
Cut the burrito in half if desired, and serve immediately with extra Santa Cruz sauce on the side.
