Pork Chops
Sammich Assembly
Method
Pork Chop Preparation
- 1
Season the Pork Chops
In a large bowl, season the pork chops with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Ensure every chop is evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- 2
Prepare Breading Stations
Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. This will be your breading station.
- 3
Bread the Pork Chops
Take each seasoned pork chop, dredge it in flour, dip it into the beaten eggs, and then coat it with breadcrumbs. Repeat for all pork chops.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. You want enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
- 5
Fry the Pork Chops
Once the oil is hot (you can test it by dropping a small piece of breadcrumb in to see if it sizzles), carefully place the breaded pork chops in the skillet. Fry for about 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

- 6
Toast the Hoagie Rolls
While the pork chops are frying, slice the hoagie rolls in half and toast them lightly in a toaster oven or under a broiler until golden.
- 7
Prepare the Toppings
Wash and pat dry the lettuce. Slice the tomato into thin rounds. Prepare the pickles for garnish.
- 8
Assemble the Sandwiches
Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise on each toasted hoagie roll. Place a fried pork chop on the bottom half of each roll, then top with lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles. Place the top half of the roll over the toppings.
- 9
Serve
Cut the sandwiches in half if desired and serve immediately while hot.
