- 1
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, large egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- 3
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Preheat Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.

Pour Batter
Using a measuring cup, pour about 1/2 cup of pancake batter onto the hot skillet for each pancake.

Cook Pancakes
Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
