Method
Wings
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Coat the Wings
In a large bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the flour mixture.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 10-12 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the wings and drain on paper towels.
Fries
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.
- 6
Soak the Fries
Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry.
- 7
Heat the Oil
In a separate deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 8
Fry the Fries
Carefully add the fries to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.
Sauce and Dressing
- 9
Prepare the Dipping Sauce
In small bowls, pour the hot sauce and ranch dressing for serving alongside the wings and fries.
