Preparing the Gyro Meat

Mixing the Meat
In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb and ground beef. Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, dried oregano, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.

Forming the Meat
Shape the meat mixture into a loaf shape and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Drizzle olive oil over the top.

Baking
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the meatloaf for about 45-50 minutes, or until cooked through and browned on top. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Making the Tzatziki Sauce

Combining Ingredients
In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (make sure to drain excess moisture), minced garlic, dried dill, lemon juice, and salt.

Mixing
Stir the mixture until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Assembling the Platter

Preparing the Pita
Warm the pita bread in a skillet or oven until soft. Cut in half to create pockets.

Slice the baked gyro meat thinly and stuff it into the warmed pita pockets. Add sliced tomatoes, thinly sliced red onions, shredded lettuce, and crumbled feta cheese.

Serve the gyro-filled pitas with a generous amount of tzatziki sauce on the side.
