Method

Preparing the Sirloin

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Rub this mixture all over the sirloin steak.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the seasoned sirloin steak on the grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and allow it to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing it into thin strips.

Preparing the Salad

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the steak is grilling, wash and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Slice the cucumber thinly and chop the tomatoes into wedges.

  2. 5

    Combine the Salad Base

In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, sliced cucumber, and chopped tomatoes.

Making the Dressing

  1. 6

    Mix the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, and honey. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

Add the sliced sirloin strips to the salad base and drizzle the dressing over the top. Toss gently to combine all ingredients.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately as a main dish or side salad.
