Method
Making the Natas
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix well. In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Allow to cool slightly, then add to the flour mixture along with the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
- 2
Chill the Dough
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow it to firm up.
- 3
Shape the Natas
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into circles using a cookie cutter or a glass. Press each circle into a greased muffin tin to form small cups.
- 4
Fill and Bake
Pour a small amount of the remaining batter into each dough cup, filling them about 3/4 full. Sprinkle a little ground cinnamon on top of each. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the tops are set.
- 5
Cool the Natas
Remove the natas from the oven and allow them to cool in the muffin tin for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Assembling the Bowls
- 6
Prepare the Yogurt Base
In a bowl, scoop 1 cup of Greek yogurt into the bottom of each serving bowl.
- 7
Layer the Toppings
Top the yogurt with 1/4 cup of granola, followed by a generous portion of fresh berries. Drizzle each bowl with a tablespoon of honey.
- 8
Finish with Nuts
Sprinkle a handful of chopped nuts on top of each bowl for added texture and flavor.
- 9
Serve and Enjoy
Serve the bowls alongside the freshly baked natas for a delightful and satisfying meal.
