For the Jumbo Shrimp

Prepare the Shrimp
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat until melted and hot.

Sauté the Garlic
Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.

Cook the Shrimp
Add the jumbo shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.

Garnish
Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Keep warm.
For the Rice

Rinse the Rice
Rinse the long-grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the rinsed rice and salt. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.

Fluff the Rice
Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
