Method
Chicken Fingers
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch wide. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Set up Breading Station
In three shallow bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, beat the eggs in the second bowl, and mix the panko breadcrumbs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in the third bowl.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Coat each chicken strip in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, then coat it thoroughly with the panko mixture. Place the breaded strips on a plate.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken strips in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Fries
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).
- 6
Soak the Fries
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them dry.
- 7
Fry the Potatoes
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the potato strips in batches, frying for about 5-7 minutes until crispy and golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels, then season with salt and pepper.
