Chicken Wings

Method

Preparation of Chicken Wings

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps to ensure they get crispy when fried.

  2. 2

    Season the Wings

In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, and baking powder. Toss until wings are evenly coated.

Cooking the Wings

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat oil to 375°F (190°C). Make sure there is enough oil to fully submerge the wings.

  2. 4

    Fry the Wings

Carefully add the seasoned wings to the hot oil in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Making the Buffalo Sauce

  1. 5

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the stick of butter.

  2. 6

    Combine Ingredients

Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in hot sauce, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper until well combined.

Tossing the Wings

  1. 7

    Coat the Wings

In a large bowl, add the fried wings and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Toss until wings are thoroughly coated in the sauce.

Serving

  1. 8

    Prepare to Serve

Arrange the coated wings on a serving platter. Serve with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side.
