Steak Marinade

Method

Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, fresh lime juice, paprika, cumin, black pepper, salt, and chili powder. Whisk everything together until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the ribeye steaks in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 3

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat. If using a charcoal grill, ensure the coals are hot and ashy. For a gas grill, allow it to reach approximately 450°F (232°C).

  2. 4

    Grill the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the marinade, letting excess marinade drip off. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  3. 5

    Rest and Serve

Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
