Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the New York Strip steak from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Sprinkle fresh rosemary on both sides.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over high heat. Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Crispy Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 4

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and cube the russet potatoes. Place them in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mash until smooth.

  3. 6

Form and Coat the Mashed Potatoes

Let the mashed potatoes cool slightly, then form them into small balls. Dip each ball in breadcrumbs to coat.

  4. 7

    Fry the Potato Balls

In a deep skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Fry the potato balls until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 8

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and trim the asparagus. Peel and cut the carrots into sticks.

  2. 9

    Cook the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add asparagus and carrots, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
