Combine ingredients
In a mixing glass add the rye whiskey (100 proof), sweet vermouth, Génépy (or yellow Chartreuse), simple syrup, two dashes Angostura bitters and one dash orange bitters.

Strain
Discard the ice or remove the coupe from the freezer. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or Nick & Nora using a julep strainer and fine mesh strainer if available.

Serve immediately. The bottled-in-bond rye provides a spicy backbone while the sweet vermouth and small measure of herbaceous Génépy add complexity; adjust simple syrup by 0.125–0.25 oz to taste if you prefer slightly drier or sweeter.
