Falafel Preparation

Soak the Chickpeas
Place the dried chickpeas in a bowl and cover them with water. Let them soak overnight or for at least 8 hours.

Form the Falafel Balls
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add flour. Mix well. Using your hands, form small balls or patties (about 1.5 inches in diameter).

Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan or pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C).

Fry the Falafel
Carefully place the falafel balls in the hot oil, working in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve
Serve the falafel warm with tahini sauce for dipping.
