- 1
Prepare the crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix well until the crumbs are evenly coated with butter.
- 2
Form the crust
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool.
- 3
Prepare the cheesecake filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat together 4 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup of granulated sugar, mixing until well combined. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 4 large eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- 4
Combine and pour
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust in the springform pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- 5
Bake the cheesecake
Bake in the oven at 325°F (160°C) for about 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool gradually.
- 6
Chill and serve
Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, you can top it with fresh fruit or a fruit sauce if desired.
