Method
Crab Cakes
- 1
Prepare Crab Cake Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the blue crab meat, panko bread crumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to combine, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- 2
Shape Crab Cakes
Using your hands, form the mixture into patties about 2 inches wide and 1 inch thick. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Chill Crab Cakes
Cover the baking sheet with plastic wrap and refrigerate the crab cakes for at least 30 minutes to help them set.
- 4
Fry Crab Cakes
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, gently add the crab cakes (in batches if necessary) and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
House Made Ranch
- 5
Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- 6
Refrigerate Ranch
Cover and refrigerate the ranch for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Cajun Pepper Sauce
- 7
Mix Sauce Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, hot sauce, lemon juice, and Cajun seasoning until well combined.
Asian Slaw
- 8
Prepare Slaw
In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, and chopped green onions.
- 9
Make Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.
- 10
Combine Slaw and Dressing
Pour the dressing over the slaw mixture and toss until everything is well coated. Let it sit for about 15 minutes before serving.
Fried Capers
- 11
Fry Capers
In a small pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add capers and fry for 2-3 minutes until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
