Method
Cheeses
- 1
Bring cheeses to serving temperature
Remove all cheeses from refrigeration 30–60 minutes before assembly. Keeping them at room temperature for this time allows aromas and flavors to develop and makes soft cheeses easier to slice and spread.
- 2
Prepare portions
Cut the aged cheddar into 1–1.5 cm slices and then into bite-sized wedges (approx. 200 g total). Slice the Manchego into 5 mm-thick wedges. Leave the triple cream brie whole or partially cut a small wedge so guests can spread it; place it on cheese paper. Crumble or break the blue cheese into small chunks (approx. 100 g). Wrap any active-rind cheeses back in cheese paper for short holding if packaging for delivery.
Accompaniments - Fresh Fruit
- 3
Wash all fruit thoroughly. Trim grapes into small clusters or individual berries, pat dry. Slice stone fruit into even wedges (about 6–8 wedges per fruit). Halve fresh figs. Arrange fruits on a clean board or tray, keeping them separate from cheeses initially to avoid moisture transfer.
Accompaniments - Preserves & Nuts
- 4
Spoon fig jam into one small ramekin and honey into another. Lightly toast almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes, stirring constantly, until fragrant and just beginning to brown; cool completely. If using walnuts, lightly toast them for 2–3 minutes. Transfer nuts to small piles or a shallow dish to add to the box.

Garnishes & Extras
- 6
Choose 2–3 small sprigs of rosemary or thyme to tuck into the box. Keep microgreens chilled and add at the end to avoid wilting. If desired, lightly crack fresh black pepper over the soft cheese (brie) and sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt over the blue cheese to enhance flavor.

Line the bottom of the box with wax or cheese paper. Place cheeses spaced apart so flavors don't mingle: position cheddar and manchego opposite each other, brie toward the center, and blue cheese in a small paper liner or wrapped to contain crumbles. Nestle ramekins with fig jam and honey into the box. Add fruit clusters and fig halves in separate sections. Place nuts in a small parchment cup or directly in a corner. Arrange crackers and toasted baguette slices so they do not press against soft cheeses. Tuck garnish sprigs and microgreens for color. Close the box with lid or plastic wrap for short transport; include reheating/toasting instructions for baguette if chilled during delivery.
