Method
Cocktail

- 2
Add liquids
Add 2 oz Cazadores Blanco tequila, 2 oz fresh blood orange juice, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz agave nectar, and 0.5 oz orange liqueur to the shaker with the muddled jalapeño.
- 3
Shake with ice
Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is very cold and the drink is well-chilled and slightly diluted.
- 4
Double-strain
Use a fine strainer (or a Hawthorne plus a small mesh strainer) to double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass to remove jalapeño seeds/pulp for a clean texture.
Garnish & Glass Prep
- 5
Prepare the rim (optional)
If rimming, moisten the glass rim with a blood orange wedge or a little lime juice. Dip the rim into coarse salt or Tajín (about 1 tsp) so it adheres evenly. Tap off excess.
- 6
Serve
Fill the rimmed rocks or coupe glass with fresh ice (if using a rocks glass) or leave neat (for coupe). Pour the double-strained margarita into the glass. Garnish with a blood orange wheel on the rim and a thin jalapeño slice floated on top.
