    Place 2 cups of chilled filtered water in a clean pitcher or a large glass bottle. Keep chilled until ready to mix.

    Measure and dissolve salts

    Add 1 tsp Himalayan pink salt, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp magnesium citrate powder, and 1 tsp powdered potassium chloride to the chilled water. Stir vigorously for 30–60 seconds until powders dissolve. If any gritty residue remains, pour the water through a fine mesh strainer into another container and discard solids.

    Taste the mixture for saltiness and mineral tang. The goal is a subtle minerality, not a saline solution. If it tastes too strong, dilute with up to 1/2 cup additional chilled water; if too weak, add a pinch (approximately 1/8 tsp) more of Himalayan salt or powdered potassium chloride and re-stir.

Acid & Flavor

    Add 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice and 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice to the mineral water. Stir to combine. The acids brighten flavor and help balance the minerals.

    If you prefer a slightly sweet note, add 2 drops of light liquid stevia and stir. Taste and adjust: add up to 1 more drop if desired, or omit entirely for zero-calorie plain mineral water.

    If desired, add 4 ice cubes to the serving glass or bottle. Pour the prepared Smartwater into a glass, garnish with a mint sprig if using, and serve immediately chilled.

    Store any leftover Smartwater in a sealed bottle in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake gently before drinking as minerals can settle.
