Potato Preparation

Method

Preparation of Potatoes

  1. 1

    Slice the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick, to form fries.

  2. 2

    Soak the Potatoes

Place the sliced potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes. This helps remove excess starch for crispier fries.

  3. 3

    Dry the Potatoes

After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean towel to remove excess moisture.

Cooking the Fries

  1. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 5

    Season the Potatoes

In a large bowl, toss the dried potato strips with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  3. 6

    Bake the Fries

Spread the potato strips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Adding the Toppings

  1. 7

    Add Parmesan and Truffle Oil

Once the fries are done baking, remove them from the oven and immediately drizzle with white truffle oil. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the fries while they are still hot so it melts slightly.

  2. 8

    Garnish with Herbs

Finish by adding chopped fresh parsley and a sprinkle of garlic powder for extra flavor.

  3. 9

    Serve Immediately

Serve the Parmesan truffle fries hot as a side dish or appetizer. Enjoy!
