Method
Prepare the Special Sauce
Mix the Sauce
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, and finely chopped pickles. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and consistent. Set aside.
Cook the Bacon
Fry the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, add the bacon strips and cook until crispy, about 4-6 minutes on each side. Once cooked, place them on paper towels to absorb excess grease.
Prepare the Burger Patty
Season the Meat
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until seasoned evenly.
Form the Patties
Divide the seasoned meat into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
Cook the Burger
Grill the Patties
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.
Assemble the Burger
Build the Burger
Toast the burger buns lightly. Spread a generous amount of the special sauce on the top bun. Place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on the bottom bun. Top with crispy bacon strips and any optional toppings like lettuce, tomato, and onion. Finish by placing the top bun over the burger.
