Burger Patty

Bun and Toppings

Method

Preparing the Beef Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent bulging during cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in the skillet until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Add Toppings

On the bottom half of each bun, place a leaf of lettuce, followed by a slice of tomato, and the cooked patty. Spread the special sauce on top of the patty and add pickle slices.

  3. 7

    Finish the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and press down gently to secure the toppings. Your Classic Abe's Burger is now ready to serve!
