Prepare the Broth
In a large pot, combine chicken or vegetable broth and water. Heat over medium heat until it comes to a simmer.

Mix in Miso
In a small bowl, mix the miso paste with a ladle of the hot broth until smooth. This helps dissolve the miso evenly.

Cook the Ramen Noodles
In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Prepare Toppings
While the noodles are cooking, slice the green onions, bamboo shoots, and prepare soft boiled eggs if using. Cut nori sheets into strips.

Assemble the Ramen
Divide the cooked ramen noodles into bowls. Pour the hot miso broth over the noodles.

Top each bowl with chopped green onions, bamboo shoots, and a soft boiled egg if desired. Garnish with nori strips.
