Drinks
- 1
In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a simmer.
- 2
Remove from heat, add 4 black tea bags, cover, and steep for 5–7 minutes.
- 3
Remove tea bags and stir in 0.25 cup granulated sugar until dissolved.
- 4
Stir in 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice and set the tea aside to cool.
- 5
Once cooled, refrigerate the tea until cold, about 20–30 minutes (or longer). If short on time, you can place the pot in an ice bath to accelerate cooling.
- 6
To serve, fill glasses with ice; pour the chilled tea over the ice.
- 7
Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves. Optional: adjust sweetness with additional sugar to taste.
