Method
Beef Patties
- 1
- 2
Divide the ground beef into two equal portions (about 6 oz each) and gently shape into round patties slightly larger than the buns. Make a shallow indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.
- 3
Season both sides of each patty with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper (adjust to taste); sprinkle a pinch of smoked paprika on each side if desired.
- 4
Brush or rub the cooking surface with Neutral oil to prevent sticking.
- 5
Cook patties for about 3-4 minutes per side or until they reach your preferred doneness. Flip once.
- 6
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar on each patty and allow it to melt.
Buns and Condiments
- 7
- 8
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom halves of the buns and ketchup on the top halves (and mustard where desired).
Toppings
- 9
Wash and dry the lettuce. Place two lettuce leaves on the bottom bun (on top of any mayo).
- 10
Add tomato slices and pickle slices on top of lettuce.
Assembly
- 11
Place the cheesy patties on the bottom buns with melted cheese facing up.
- 12
Top with the assembled toppings and the top bun. Add extra condiments if desired.
- 13
Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
