Method
Preparing the Salmon

Season the Salmon
Pat the Atlantic salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Sear the Salmon
Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets skin-side down in the hot skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown.

Flip the Salmon
Gently flip the salmon fillets using a spatula and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Remove and Rest
Remove the salmon from the skillet and let it rest on a plate while you prepare the sauce.
Making the Lemon Thyme Butter Sauce

Melt the Butter
In the same skillet used for the salmon, reduce the heat to low and add the unsalted butter. Allow it to melt gently.

Season the Sauce
Taste the sauce and add salt and black pepper to your preference. Remove from heat.
Serving

Plate the Dish
Place the seared salmon fillets on serving plates. Drizzle the lemon thyme butter sauce over the fillets.

Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the salmon and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
