Method

Brew Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mash

In a large pot, heat 20 cups of water to approximately 160°F (70°C). Add 5 cups of malted barley and stir well. Maintain this temperature for about 1 hour to allow the grains to release their sugars.

  2. 2

    Boil the Wort

After an hour, strain the mixture to separate the liquid (wort) from the grains. Bring the wort to a boil and add 2 cups of hops. Boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Cool the Wort

After boiling, cool the wort quickly to around 70°F (21°C) using an immersion chiller or an ice bath.

  4. 4

    Add Yeast

Once cooled, transfer the wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of yeast over the surface, cover it, and let it ferment in a cool, dark place for 1-2 weeks.

  5. 5

    Bottling

When fermentation is complete, dissolve 3 tablespoons of priming sugar in a small amount of boiled water and add it to the fermented beer. Bottled the beer in sanitized bottles, leaving some space at the top.

Flavoring the Beer

  1. 6

    Prepare Flavorings

While the beer is fermenting, slice 1 whole cucumber and gently crush 1 tablespoon of juniper berries. Prepare 1 cup of rose petals by washing them gently.

  2. 7

    Infuse the Beer

After bottling, you can add the cucumber slices, crushed juniper berries, and rose petals directly into the beer bottles or allow them to steep in a separate jar for a few days before bottling.
