Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, making sure they are slightly larger than the burger buns.

  3. 3

    Chill the Patties

Place the formed patties on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 4

    Heat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet if using one.

  2. 5

    Cook the Patties

Once the grill or skillet is hot, add the beef patties. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 6

    Toast the Buns

In the last minute of cooking the patties, place the burger buns cut-side down on the grill or skillet to toast them lightly.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the tomato and onion into rings. Rinse the lettuce leaves under cold water and pat dry.

  2. 8

    Build the Burger

Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each toasted bun, followed by the cooked beef patty, tomato slices, onion rings, and finally the top half of the bun.
