Preparing the Burger Patty

Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Form the Patties
Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, making sure they are slightly larger than the burger buns.

Chill the Patties
Place the formed patties on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape while cooking.

Heat the Grill or Skillet
Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet if using one.

Prepare the Vegetables
Slice the tomato and onion into rings. Rinse the lettuce leaves under cold water and pat dry.

Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each toasted bun, followed by the cooked beef patty, tomato slices, onion rings, and finally the top half of the bun.
